Two Koreas ‘at a turning point’

There are many articles in papers and on websites around the world right now which are discussing North Korea and wondering what will happen next.

This article on the BBC website talks about President Lee Myung-bak’s New Year’s speech:

When you ask many people in England ‘what do you know about South Korea?’ they will reply ‘North Korea’ and since the death of Kim Jong-il there has been even more news about North Korea.

Comment below about what you think will / won’t happen or change in North and South Korea now that Kim Jong-il has died.

I hope now North Korea will begin to slowly change and open up. Although there is a worry they may attack the South or other countries, I don’t think this will happen as it is not in the interests of China, their main ally. China won’t let North Korea do anything stupid.
